what a busy couple of weeks i have had, last week i was “kidnapped” for action for children, and i tell you if thats what its like to be kidnapped, then yes please and can it happen to me every week…..
The day kicked off at 9am when we all met at the restaurant and got changed into our whites, after the quick introductions to all involved it was time for the limo over to the city chambers, yes folks a limo, and of course a magnum of champagne…
there was 6 chefs in total Marc Robertson from Dakota, David Haetzman from the rutland hotel, paul gunning from purslene in stockbridge, Steve Brown from the edinburgh school of food and wine,Neil Forbes from cafe st honore and hilariouse comedian Janey Godley omg she is super funny, if you have the chance to go and watch her live then pleasedo you wont regret it.
we sat in Edinburgh city chambers all feverishly trying to raise the money on our phones, to our nearest and dearest, ohh and suppliers (cant forget those guys). we then stopped for a quick photo call and breath of fresh air. it was then back in for a spot of buffet lunch until we had all raised our target of £500 before our release just in time for lunch service in our restaurants.
we ended the day raising just over 4k, so a super effort by all involved i think, and to everyone who i pestered until they gave me money, i make no apologies because it was for such a great cause,
